Wedding Photography:  Austin Renaissance Hotel

It was such an honor to photograph Carrie and Nate's wedding this past weekend,  I LOVED getting to spend so much time with them, and getting to capture the moments and EMOTIONS of their big day.

They picked a beautiful location...   the Renaissance Hotel in Austin, which was fun to shoot at.  Using the gazebo in the back for their ceremony, and an elegant ballroom indoors for the reception, the entire wedding was just beautiful.  The weather was also great for a June wedding in Texas (although Nate, from North Dakota, may beg to differ)!

But what I most appreciated about Carrie and Nate's wedding was how simple the day was.  Not simple as in insignificant or careless or disappointing.  But simple in the most beautiful of ways.  Simple in that there was a man.. and there was a woman.... joining hands in marriage.  What was most clear to me as I watched Carrie and Nate prepare and walk down that aisle was that all of the frills that can go along with a wedding weren't there.  It was just about love.  It was exactly as a wedding should be.

Carrie and Nate, I'm so happy for you both, and I pray that you may continue to have a 'simple' love for one another... that regardless of what goes on around you and what life throws your way, there may always be just one thing... a man.... and a woman.... who love one another, always.
